Ashtanga vinyasa yoga is a series of postures based on a modification of the traditional Ashtanga Yoga primary series. The perfect marriage of tempo and sequence. It is a dynamic yoga that connects breathing to the movement of the body, where the focus of attention is motion and breathing synchronization. Ashtanga vinyasa is designed to wake up the nervous system while promoting a spirit of change and freedom in the practice.

This style of yoga, will move you through a modified form of Ashtanga's Primary Series which features Sun Salutations, followed by a rigorous set of standing, seating, lying on the Matt and balancing poses.

Vinyasa yoga is for absolutely everyone and there are no assumptions to practice it. Yoga silences the mind, increases contact with itself, releases muscle tension and develops physical capacity and much more.

Note to experienced Ashtangis: this class modifies several of the most extreme moments of Primary Series, and does not include headstand, shoulderstand, or the Kurmasana section of the series. If you have learned these poses in-person from a skilled instructor, feel free to add them into your practice!
